It's been a pretty good day - especially since tomorrow's Friday!! I know I'm 'wishing my life away' but I can't help it - my first thought on Monday morning and each day when I wake up is 'I wish it was Friday...'. We took Abbey to the dr. yesterday for her 4 month check-up and shots. The shots weren't too bad - she did cry, but it didn't last long. She was smiling soon after they were over. She weighed 14 lbs, 12 oz - she's definitely healthy! We go back in 2 more months for more shots....
I am so glad we get a long weekend (although the thoughts of the hurricane are looming...). It's possible Jesse may have to go help evacuate some folks and there pets...but I hope he doesn't have to go. I want him to be able to help - but I guess I'm just being selfish. I'm actually going to be off next Tuesday and Wednesday - but it's certainly not for pleasure. I am getting my wisdom teeth out - the 3 that I have - Tuesday morning. I'm not looking forward to it - but I am looking forward to feeling better.
If anyone reads this - I hope you have a GREAT (and safe) weekend!!!!

Caleigh had dance again today. Diann picked up her and Claire (her friend at daycare who is also taking lessons). Claire and Caleigh have a 'love-hate' relationship. Yes, I know they are only 3 - but one minute their best friends, the next they are fighting over a toy...it's only going to get worse. It's really cute to watch though. Caleigh is growing so fast. She even speaks better than I do, and she is always correcting me. It was a rainy Monday, which isn't a good combination, but overall the day wasn't so bad. After all, I am at home with my family which is all that counts. Well, guess it's time to wash clothes, fold towels, wash bottles..........

Finally the Weekend!

Not that I have any special plans, but it's just nice to know I can do whatever I want (well, whatever I can with a 3-year old and almost 4 month old). It's also been raining ALL day so we haven't left the house, but sometimes it's nice not to have to load up and go anywhere. I really don't have anything interesting to talk about at the moment. I'm just thankful for an opportunity to be able to sit for a few minutes at the computer. Seems like life never stops these days. Abbey has been quite fussy today - we are pretty sure she is just teething. Caleigh never really gave us problems when she was teething, but this one could be different. I just want to make her feel better. She's really been 'cooing' today and it's been absolutely wonderful to listen to and watch her little eyes light up. Now I'm convinced her eyes are turning green. They stayed blue for the longest time, but we noticed basically a green ring around her pupil and that 'ring' seems to be getting bigger. Well that's all for today....

I've made it to Wednesday - two more days to go! It was another busy day for us. I had a dentist appointment (getting my wisdom teeth out in about a week and a 1/2), and about the time I left there it started pouring down rain. I was hoping it would just pass through, but no such luck. And of course I was getting the girls from daycare (for some reason I've been the one getting the girls the last few times it downpoured). I decided to get Abbey first and by the time I made it inside I was already soaked. I got Abbey in the truck with help from a fellow parent, and making a mad dash back inside to get Caleigh when low and behold - Jesse shows up. I was already wet from head to toe so I just told him to go home... I don't even know why I tried using an umbrella - it was useless. Anyway... we all got home safe then had to turn around and get to the church (Caleigh has choir at 5:25). So 'why' you ask would I take the time to talk about something that is probably uninteresting to those of you who may be reading this?? Probably because it is after 10PM and I've taken some sinus medicine to try to aleviate this headache and I'm a bit on the loopy side. Guess I'll end it here and maybe my next post will have a bit more 'flair' to it......

Well, it's Monday again.... I don't know why Monday's are always so exhausting. Caleigh had her first day of dance lessons today. I wasn't able to go (the lessons start at 4PM, and I don't get off until 5PM). When my in-laws brought her home she was red faced and her hair was wet with sweat (yeah, I know, kinda gross). It wore her out - she climbed up in my lap and was actually still for more than 5 seconds. I hope she'll sleep good tonight. Abbey was pretty happy today. She's started 'talking' - or I guess the correct term to use would be 'cooing' - a lot. It's funny to see her look at herself in her mirror in the car and do it.... I just love my girls!

I'm finally catching up with the rest of the world..... Just to 'catch up' I have 2 absolutely beautiful daughters - Caleigh who is 3, and Abigail who is 3 1/2 months. I hope to get some pictures posted soon. Jesse and I have been married for 6 years now (I'm gettin old!). I have lots to tell, but not enough time at the moment. I'll post more soon.....

Abbey has decided she likes bath time. For the first few weeks of her life she HATED baths (so did mommy and daddy). She likes kicking her feet in the water.

this was before we got her hair cut - her bangs were awful! :-)

Caleigh
Yes, she has 'bed head'. She didn't even change out of her PJ's until she had a bath that night. Any time that I want to get her all 'cutsied up' to take pictures, she refuses and it turns into a battle until I finally give up. Guess I'm having to pay for being so stubborn myself....
